The Old Colony History Museum chronicles the extensive history of the city and is the only museum in town. Taunton Green is located right downtown and is a city center square that offers walking paths, a water fountain, war memorial statues, and many other things to experience. The Hughes/Donahue Art Gallery is a private art gallery that showcases the work of talented local artists. 

Taunton has numerous parks for residents to visit to take walks, runs, go for a picnic, or enjoy some time outdoors. Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, and other water activities are available on the Narragansett Bay Watershed. Golf-lovers can hit the green at the John F. Parker Municipal Golf Course or the Segregansett Country Club. There are some excellent local restaurants and pubs to visit for all to enjoy. 

Taunton has some excellent housing options for budgets of all sizes, and the city offers great amenities without being in an extremely busy place. Living in a smaller city with loads of activities is something residents love about this beautiful place.
