Students who reside in Squantum will have access to public education provided by the Quincy Public School District. The highly rated district provides education for area students from pre kindergarten through senior year in high school. Currently, the Quincy School District administers a total of 19 schools within the city.

Located in the heart of Squantum is the Squantum Elementary School. Many residents of the community enjoy walking their children to school each morning as many homes are located within minutes of the school. Squantum Elementary offers education for students from kindergarten through grade five with a total of 346 students currently enrolled.

Atlantic Middle School is located on the mainland, just about 5-10 minutes from the Squantum community. Offering classes for grade six through eight students, Atlantic Middle School welcomes roughly 500 students a year.

North Quincy High School is down the street from Atlantic Middle School and continues public school education for students in grades nine to twelve. Originally established in 1926, North Quincy High is one of only two high schools in the area and serves about 1,200 students.
